DuPage APA Pool Leagues

Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark, because in the APA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The APA wants beginners and novices, because it is the AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments.

PLEASE READ!!! We are resuming the Spring Session this MONDAY, JUNE 29th!! Please check the APA app for some schedule changes.
Here are some guidelines/changes:
Social distancing team member count -- Host locations with in-house divisions of 6 teams or more and divisions with 6 or more travel teams at one location will have a player limit of 3 per team around the match table (player, scorekeeper and captain/coach). Travel and in-house division host locations with 4 teams and below will have a limit of 5 people per team around the match table. Other teammates can sit at another table inside/outside the bar.
Masks -- strongly recommended to minimize risk but not mandated unless state or host location requirement.
Flip a coin to determine who breaks (DO NOT LAG)
Don't shake hands before or after your match. A friendly wave or thumbs up will work for now.
Wash/Hand sanitize after racking.
Use your own equipment such as cue, chalk, powder, gloves, etc.
Double play rule exception -- (ONLY for the remainder of Spring 2020 Session) – 2 players can play twice without penalty as long as the 23 rule is not broken and skill level is 6 or below (back to back is allowed and can use double play at any time). Inform opposing captain of intent to use DP as soon as possible if known. (You only need 3 team members to play the 5 matches if necessary.)
Keep matches moving along -- Determine the players for the next match before the current match is finished. Have players get drinks, smoke, use the restroom, etc. so they are ready to play when needed. No smoke breaks during a match.
Don't bring any extra people to league night such as friends, relatives, spouses, etc. Some host locations will have areas to sit outside, we encourage that while you're not shooting.
63rd St. Q PUB & GRILLE --- TUES. nights there will be a limit of 8 teams playing in-house, the rest of the teams will play in Darien or Naperville. WED. nights there will be a limit of 6 teams playing in-house, the rest of the teams will play in Darien. Team captains will be notified of any location changes.
Please be mindful of the changes going on during these difficult times. Please be kind to each other and of course, practice good sportsmanship!!
